Recorded in 1979 on the famous Jamaican
Reggae Sunsplash Festival, this video shows
a significantly younger Winston Rodney
a.k.a. Burning Spear performing two of his
usually militant and conscious Roots Reggae
tracks: "Road Foggy" and "Man
in the Hills".
He is in a deep state of concentration,
the band plays skillfully and manages to
follow Rodney's improvisations. Wonderfull
is his imitation of nature sounds during
"Man in the Hills".
Between the video recordings of the
concert, we can also take a look to the
Jamaican landscape as impressions are given.
