| It's
actually quite an experience, to see the man
who has inspired so many DUB producers to
use the melodica in some way or
another.
And what better place is there to see him
perform, than where his sound is named
after? Yes, Augustus Pablo's Far East Sound
goes to the far east! Together with the
Jamaican studio band Soul Syndicate, he
performs his track "Java" at
Japansplash in the year 1986.
See his fingers touching and flying over
the black and white keys, in a way that many
can only dream of their entire life.
After a while the guitar takes over, just
for a short while, though. Playing is
getting wilder, while the drum and bass play
solo, and the guitar comes back, then it's
time for drum and bass again, while Augustus
Pablo chants a few words. Slowly the track
is broken down to the end.
Niceness!
