| Even
though he had a large hit with a track
called "Wet Dream" back in the
1960's, Max Romeo is one of the leading
names in the field of conscious Reggae
singers.
He recorded for too many producers to
mention, Lee Perry in his Black Ark period
being only one of them. During this period,
Lee Perry also recorded what has become a
classic album: "Heart Of The
Congo's".
Even though the Black Ark has been burned
down, destroying the particular sound
forever, recordings have been preserved. In
this video we will see Max Romeo in the
studio, as he voices over a Dub from the
Fisherman riddim recorded for Heart of the
Congo's.
Listen to the lyrics, as they are
encouraging for everyone who knows one's
self to be persecuted for the sake of Jah.
