| Experiencing
a Bunny Wailer concert is just that, an
experience.
Yours truly has been to two in different
countries, and both times, the original
Wailers' member went well over two hours in
what turned out to be one big boost of
energy. Kind of like the concert that has
been recorded on video so that we can enjoy
it almost 20 years later.
The year is 1986, and the location is
Madison Square Garden, somewhere in the USA.
Bunny is strong as ever, as he performs his
"two sides": one set filled with
Roots Rockers, the other one with material
from Rock 'n' Groove and other dancehall/rub
a dub albums.
A full band is backing him, an enthusiastic
crowd supporting the crew on
stage, as Reggae Music thunders over Babylon
once again. Backing vocals, by the way, are
provided by a group that used to be called
the Gaylads, but because another group has
claimed the name "gay", they're
now called "Psalms".
The tracks are presented in no particular
order, but all 13 of them are well worth a
watch. Enjoy!
