| STEEL
PULSE - KU KLUX KLAN (1978) |
| In
1978, producing a video clip to accompany a
track wasn't something that everyone did.
Not only was it kind of expensive, at least
for most, the problem was also: where to
broadcast it? There were no musical
television channels...
All of this didn't stop Steel Pulse from
shooting a video for their track Ku Klux
Klan (KKK). Quite a heavy topic, but that
was -and is until this day in 2007- the specialty
of Steel Pulse.

| NATTY
KING - NO GUNS TO TOWN |
| Violence
of Jamaica is a problem that has been going
on for a long, long time now. Political
violence, violence caused by poverty, there
has even been a time wherein Jamaica's
capital was the top city when it came to
killing.
Rastas on Jamaica have for this very same
long time tried to stop this violence. There
are a lot of musical works dealing with the
topic, trying to get the people to stop
fighting. Contemporary Roots singer Natty
King contributed to that catalogue with his
tune No Guns To Town.

| MAD PROFESSOR LIVE @ GLAD
FESTIVAL, 2006 |
| Most
people, when thinking about live Reggae or
even live Dub, would visualize a band on
stage performing a concert. And fair enough,
this is often the case.
But not necessarily, as Mad Professor
proofs in this great video report from his
performance on the UK based Glad Festival in
2006. And rather than a band, he takes his
Ariwa studio on stage! Together with Karl Melody and Roots
Dawta Aisha, he gives the public some
heavyweight DUB and Consciousness as his
hands move over the controls like a mad
professor.
