Reggae Music and Ska Music are connected, is
not known by everyone. In fact, Ska Music as
well as Rocksteady are the Jamaican
predecessors of Reggae.
The Ska-vibe is strikingly present in
this short video clip of a concert with none
other then Jamaican vocalist Cornell
Campbell. The music is definitely Roots
Reggae in the 1970's style of the
Revolutionairies and Aggrovators.
Cornell Campbell himself can be compared
with Johnny Clarke, who also made countless
of good tunes around that time. this video
shows, that he didn't lose his strength
after decades of work. Rough music, with a
sweet voice still, nuff horns and nuff drum
and bass.
